Welcome to the blog! Jennifer Link Kieffer here, a Buffalo based fashion, portrait, lifestyle, and wedding photographer and the editor in chief of Auxiliary Magazine. I am the owner of Jennifer Link Photography and a multi skilled creative who excels at art direction and project realization, realizing my vision through photography, design, styling, and writing.
During the completion of my undergraduate thesis I first came upon my main subject of alternative and subculture fashion. Having always had a love for alternative and subculture fashion, lifestyle, and aesthetic; it seemed natural to incorporate this into my artwork. After graduation, I began to focus on fashion and portrait photography, and while my aesthetic began to take on a more honest, clean, and sophisticated sensibility, it remained authentic. In the last couple years, I have expanded my focus to wedding and lifestyle photography, approaching these with the same aesthetic and signature style I approach fashion, beauty, and portrait photography with. I also take a very active role behind the scenes with the styling of my shoots, working closely with fashion stylists, makeup artists, and hair stylists to achieve my aesthetic.
I am available for fashion, beauty, advertising, commercial, editorial, portrait, band, lifestyle, and wedding photography as well as fashion styling, art and creative direction, and production. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Minor in Art History from Alfred University’s School of Art and Design, I am a proud member of ASMP, the American Society of Media Photographers, and I serve on the ASMPWNY Chapter board as Treasurer and Communications Chair. My clients include several prominent alternative fashion designers and publications as well as local businesses and awesome creatives, individuals, couples, and families. My primary medium is digital photography, but I also work with traditional film, alternative processes, video, and Super 8 film. My work has been exhibited in New York City, Toronto, and Buffalo.
